Proof of Address
Some of our available journeys will collect a proof of address document for you. This proof of address document will either appear as a 'supporting document' (i.e. for the Standard AML journey) or in the 'evidence' tab (i.e. for Companies House Director Verification journeys) as can be seen below.
Credas does not verify non-biometric documents, and for these cases, the proof of address documents are presented to you for internal review.
If a proof of address document appears as a supporting document, you will need to manually review it and provide either a 'pass' or 'fail' depending on your organisations internal policy. If you are not happy with the proof of address provided as a supporting document, you are able to resubmit it back to the individual to have another attempt by following the steps here.
If a proof of address document has not been collected as part of the journey, and you have obtained this document outside of Credas, you can manually upload it to Credas yourself. As noted, Credas is unable to verify the document, however it means you are keeping all documents related to the individual together, and the document can also appear in the PDF by downloading a 'process PDF' (you can follow the steps here). If you wish to manually upload the proof of address document, you can upload it as either 'evidence' which offers the ability to manually upload an unlimited amount of documents here. Or you can upload one document as a supporting document, which allows you to manually pass/fail the document and add a document here.
Please note - some of our journeys will collect 'supporting documents' which are not proof of address documents, but relate to other non-biometric documents relevant to the journey in question. For example, our Companies House Director Verification journeys collect an additional document needed for 'Group B' ID verification as a supporting document (read more on supporting documents for director verification journeys here). Also, our Safe Harbour Vendor journeys will request for 2 linking documents to the property in question as a supporting document (read more on Safe Harbour supporting documents here).
