Right to Work documents

Digital right to work checks allows employers to verify the legal right to work in the UK for British and Irish nationals using an IDSP via Identity Document Validation Technology (IDVT). Digital right to work checks can only be completed on candidates who hold a valid British/Irish passport or Irish passport card. In the case the individual does not meet the requirements for digital right to works check via an IDSP, you will need to verify an individuals right to work by completing a manual document check or use the Home Office online system depending on the nationality of the individual/your internal compliance policies.

Therefore if you issue a Right to Work check to an individual to complete, they will either be able to capture their British/Irish passport or provide a share code. 

If the individual is unable to provide one of these, they will be unable to complete the Credas Right to Work check.

Where you wish to deviate from the compliant specification, by asking that we capturing alternative documents, such as a birth certificate and national insurance number, you will be asked to sign a waiver acknowledging it will not provide you with a statutory excuse. If you wish to enable this function, called the Employee Identity Check journey, please email support@credas.com. 

Please note, in the instance of obtaining a birth certification/national insurance number, Credas is unable to verify these, and they will need your manual review.
